How to get video stream from a webcam

Hi Igep Community,

I want to perform image processing on an IGEP v2 board from a realtime video stream: a webcam ( I have a pseye webcam). I have no idea how to fix that.

I install IGEP Firmware Yocto 1.2.1-1 on my sd card an I use IGEP SDK Yocto Toolchain 1.2.1-1.

Do I have to install something else ? I find gstream library inside yocto package, so maybe I can get my video stream with it ?

Do I have to install a particular driver for my webcam ?
Do I need the IGEP GST FRAMEWORK 3.10.10 ?

when I do
dmesg
on my board this is what i get:

I expected to see video0 or something like that...
Do you have any idea how to do to use a webcam with the igep v2 board?

    Basically you need the kernel v4l2 driver for your webcam, download de kernel sources and look there what driver your should include ... Manel
